It`s the beginning of a new school year … Do you remember your childhood and that feeling of excitement when you got a new bag or some electronic gadget that you wanted? On the image above you can see faces of our children when they received a new bags, shoes, socks and clothes at the beginning of the new school year.
They were standing still, unable to move, silent but enthusiastic. When we were passing those bags and shoes to them, we had to ask them to move and let others pass to get theirs. Before that moment, we had to pass through several things: order everything necessary for all children and their assistants, check if everything was received as ordered and prepare for each child it own set of bags, shoes, socks…
We couldn't have done it without a help of the volunteers of the Zdenac Aljibe-Pozo in Tanzania, teacher and some students that help us prepare and deliver everything in just two days.
After the bags, shoes and socks were prepared for each child, we've started passing the stuffs to children according to the school they belonged. And as it usually happens, one problem after another happen, because some shoes were to small for some children whose feet got bigger, others had to small...but at the end everything was resolved quickly.
We are particularly happen and proud of our work when we so the reaction of the community. Everyone in the community were proud and happy to see student all well dressed and equipped for school. They were grateful to the Zdenac association as well as to all those who donors who gave money and brought smile and joy to children that are now in strolling happy through the town.
